Lenten Supper & Program - Next Stop: South Korea
Despite the cold and slush we had a great turn-out for our second Lenten supper program as we learned about the Presbyterian Church in Russia. Join us this Sunday at 5 p.m. to continue our journey ("Where in the World Is the Presbyterian Church?") visiting South Korea. We will enjoy baked ginger chicken, rice and vegetables; hot dogs are available for the children. Our guest speaker, The Reverend Yongjin Kim, from Maumee Valley Presbytery’s Korean-American Presbyterian Church, his wife and members of their congregation will supplement our meal with samples of authentic Korean dishes. (Suggested donation is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 10.) Following supper the adults will hear a presentation by Rev. Kim who will share his experiences in the church in both Korea and United States. Children will be escorted downstairs to receive a new stamp for their passport. The younger children will be making masks and the older children will be making origami Korean outfits. They will all learn a new song together and experience a small part of Korean culture. Join us for another exciting adventure as we share in fellowship together!

"Are We There Yet?"
With over 150 people signed up to walk to Jerusalem, the great distance of 6,089 miles seems possible, if each person simply walks 1 mile per day throughout the 40 days of Lent. In our first week of walking, collectively we walked 833 miles! This number is based on the 50 walking cards turned in on Sunday, so remember to turn in your cards, so we can count your miles spent in aerobic or spiritual activity each week. 833 miles puts us beyond New York City and into the Atlantic Ocean. We’re walking on water now! Only 5256 miles to go… Let’s keep walking to Jerusalem!
February is American Heart Month
Myth
– some people who are experiencing the symptoms of a heart attack are able to wait hours or even days before seeking needed medical care.Fact
– Many people do not recognize their symptoms as life-threatening. It is important to know the warning signs and take action quickly. Being treated within about an hour of the first symptoms can make a significant difference. Heart attack deaths and heart damage can often be avoided when treatment begins within an hour of when symptoms started. This

Gene Hall, Nancy Hall and Amy Lai, also known as
Ariel 3, will be presenting a concert on Sunday, March 6, at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary to benefit CHOPIN Hall. Ariel 3 is unique in that it specializes in performing music especially written for soprano voice, clarinet and piano. During the 35 years that this group has been active, they have collected a wide array of music that is not heard every day, but is melodic and pleasing to the ear. Favorites of the group are folk tunes that have been especially arranged for the trio setting. Though Ariel 3 performs primarily as a trio, there will also be solo selections by members of the group as well. Included in the music selections will be works by Lachner, Kreutzer, Brahms, Schumann, Puccini, Schubert, Cooke and McCabe. This concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering of non-perishable and canned food items will be received.Health Fair Recipe
